In summary, its not a simple YES/NO in my view. 5.2 has some issues that 5.2.1 beta seems to solve but its still not perfect.
Mobirise versus macaw full#
The best fearure in my opinion in v5 builder if you have purchased the entire full premium extension set including code editor is you can add blocks from any theme to your project in the builder without using user blocks. That way i can test in parallel on several versions at the same time without risk. I personally run 4.12.4 as my main builder and have v5.x in several other virtual machines so all are totally separate. And back up everything before moving to 5 so you have a copy of all projects and extensions etc before the upgrade.

Also, if you use any 3rd party extensions, ensure they are all at the latest version in v5 builder (check on the developers individual websites) - old 3rd party extension version can cause issues!. "Ghost buttons" is one love or hate feature in the M5 theme. That's the only way you Weill know if it is fully compatible, better or worse for your needs. I would suggest you create a new test blank project with the M5 theme and then try to replicate a site. Maybe things will change in the future when bootstrap 5 is released. Only a few of the themes have new blocks only fully compatible with the M5 builder. Remember 95% of all the themes are still M4 and can be used in v4 or v5 builder.

There are LOTS of M4 sites out there that people will NOT be redeveloping in the M5 theme just for the fun of it. MR Support will have to answer that, but suspect a LONG while yet. I haven't done that as i haven't found any "killer reason" to do that at this stage. Not unless you find something very specific you need in the Mobirise 5 theme that isnt in the Mobirise 4 theme.

Its a newer theme developed for Mobirise with newer version of bootstrap 4 for MR5, It has a different feel and some different blocks, but its all down to personal preference really. Is there some gotcha I need to know before starting using mobirise 5 as the main development tool using mobirise 4 theme How long will mobirise 4 theme supported?Ĥ. Is there a reason I should migrate to mobirise 5 theme?ģ. what is difference between mobirise 4 and 5 theme?Ģ. I have built a website using mobirise 4 and mobirise 4 theme (I recently installed mobirise 5 along with mobirise 4 extensions on a virtual window machine to try, so have few questionsġ.
